If I already have the center hitting, double sided hitting mat, could I buy the 10x10 putting mat and attach them?

Yes, but you would need a different set of rubber base pieces in order to have a smooth transition from the hitting area to the putting area, i.e. replace bordered edge pieces with non-bordered pieces.
