The Hourglass Performance Turf mats are 1" thick and sit directly on the ground. They can be placed on any flat surface, including concrete, crushed stone, decking, etc. This will keep the hitting surface level and prevent the mat from moving thanks to the non-slip rubber backing on the turf.
