Thanks for your question. The Hourglass Mats use our Performance Turf for the full surface, which allows you to hit anywhere on the surface and keeps you from having to hit in the same exact spot. You also can flip the mat around after creating wear on one side so you'll have a whole new side to hit on. The overall wear will ultimately depend on how many balls you hit in your sessions, but we'd expect that you can hit regularly on this mat for easily 3-5 years.
