We recommend that you do not place our mats on carpet in order to keep the stance and hitting surface from being too springy or inconsistent and to ensure that the base does not move while swinging. It is ideal to place our mats on flat surfaces like concrete, wood, tile, etc. This is especially the case with a Combo Mat to ensure your putting surface has a clean, straight roll. You can always try it on your low-pile carpet first and see for yourself how much impact it has on the performance and then cut the carpet if you want to maximize the stability of the hitting and putting surfaces.
